Matchtech Group Plc.
Matchtech Group plc is amongst the top consultancies in the UK specialising in technical recruitment. They operate in the engineering, manufacturing, construction, scientific and IT sectors and was established in 1984. Over the intervening years the group has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s largest independent agencies. With its turnover now over £150m, it was ranked as the 20th largest Recruitment Agency in the UK in the Recruitment International Top 100 report 2006.
The group has experienced an average of annual growth rate of 26% over the last 10 years and now operate from purpose-built 18,000 sq.ft offices on the Solent Business Park between Southampton and Portsmouth. Annually, it supplies more than 1,000 companies and place in excess of 4,000 personnel, both temporary and permanent, throughout the UK and internationally.
Matchtech have been using Aztec Temps, interSoftware's award winning payroll software program for a number of years, and have recently taken the decision to upgrade to interSoftware’s new payroll and invoicing software solution: enterpriSe Temps. Tony Dyer is the Financial Director of the company, and kindly agreed to speak to us recently about his company’s decision to upgrade:
Q) What was the situation which led you to look for a new payroll software solution?
A) Matchtech had been using Aztec Temps payroll software program for over six years, successfully integrating it with our own in-house BackOffice systems. As the Group’s payroll exceeded 2,500 contractors per week, it was evident that we needed an upgrade to a faster, more streamlined payroll system.
Q) Why did you eventually choose InterSoftware's software solution over the competition?
A) One of the major advantages of choosing the interSoftware enterpriSe package was that the foundation of the payroll software system was one that we knew well. We have viewed this change as an upgrade from Aztec Temps rather than a change in payroll system. We have simply re-integrated our in-house systems with enterpriSe, and installed the upgrade with minimum fuss.
Q) How has it improved your work processes?
A) Enterprise will enable Matchtech to expand its payroll service to more contractors due to its increased efficiencies.
Q) What do you think of the service you have received from the company as a whole, & what aspect have you been most impressed by?
A) Overall the service provided by Intersoftware has been good with our integration needs being served by the developers effectively.
