BACS Contingency Service
As a customer of BACS, you have a responsibility to maintain an external disaster recovery system or procedure for the unlikely event that you will be unable to transmit your file to BACS.
BACS, the clearing banks and your software supplier all agree that the most efficient and safest way to do this is via a BACS approved bureau. We are delighted to announce that our software is fully BACS Approved Bureau compliant.
Why Would I Need It? As we are sure you will agree, your BACS software is probably one of the most robust and trouble free products you use. However our experience has shown that the following problems can occur, rendering you BACS system unusable:
- Main System Failure.
- Software Crash.
- Communication Failure.
How Does It Work? Depending on the nature of your failure, Intersoftware is able to receive your data in a variety of secure traditional ways: Probably the most secure of these would be via the Intersoftware SFTP system, however facilities exist to receive files, via email, CD/disk, fax or even via the telephone.
How Much Does It Cost? Providing you are a maintained customer, for a ‘one off’ transmission of one file to BACS, it is FREE OF CHARGE and falls within the Annual Maintenance agreement.
