Hardware Specification for enterpriSe installations
As part of your enterpriSe installation we review the nature of your current hardware configuration. This ensures that we deliver a solution that meets with the demands of the application, the requirements for support and ensures that your IT or 3rd party hardware support can understand what is required.

The software has two elements that are relevant to installation
- Server: This is for organisations whom will be running the SQL database on the network, we have some further configurations settings to follow.
- Workstation: The workstation supports the demands of the application and due consideration to its configuration should be considered.

To Note:
- If you intend to produce dot-matrix reports you must install a wide-carriage dot matrix printer (132 column) 24pin
- All necessary stationery should be available for the installation day and standard print drivers installed
- To [effectively] support of software we need access to all machines that run the software [servers and workstations]. Our preference would be a business class 2Mbps broadband connection
- The technical specification stated assume that enterpriSe will be the only application running.
- enterpriSe Xpress customers whom run MSDE (or SQL 2005 express) locally is would be preferable for recomended settings are used.
Networks
Running enterpriSe on a network requires a dedicated fileserver. We do not support peer-to-peer networks or the use of NON-dedicated fileservers. Workstations taking the workloads of a server (i.e. filesharing or network printing) impacts on performance to the extent that the software could be unservicable.
Remote Access Software
Our preference for remote support is remite desktop (terminal server), NVC and Logmein (this is a free application). We need access to all machines that run our software, if you can not/do not allow access to certain machines then we need to know at the point of order.
SQL Server configuration Recommendations.
We have further information regarding the configuration and setup of your SQL server. Please mail support or speak to your account manager should this information be required.
.NET Frameworkupdate!
enterpriSe uses .Net to run services. You will require the .Net frame work to be installed on your infrastructure. The minimum requirements are .Net 2.0, the latest addition is 3.5. You can check this by going to Add/Remove programs and there will be an entry for .Net frame work with the version number.
